Studios are the soul of music making, providing real life community and comradery which cannot be achieved by working solo at home.

Our friends

Here are some studios we love, work with and recommend:

EastWest Studios

EastWest is one of the most legendary recording studios in the world. It has and continues to be the “go-to” for the biggest names in music starting with Frank Sinatra in 1957 where his record label Reprise Records was born. Albums recorded here have clocked over 150 Grammy nominations just in the last decade.  Although it has operated under many different names through the years, the 1933 building has remained in the same iconic location at 6000 W Sunset Blvd and the original recording studios remain perfectly intact. Frogtown Creative

Frogtown Creative, an extension of Perfect Sound Hollywood Hills, is a hidden gem within the rapidly developing Frogtown Media District, located between Silverlake and Atwater Village, just north of Downtown LA. Frogtown makes for an exceptional event space, as well as top-notch recording facility which has hosted many A-list musicians. It boasts a sound stage, world class recording facility, writing rooms, editing bays and a loft space. We should also note that the Frogtown Creative campus is growing – two new studios, including a super cool bungalow loft with living and sleeping quarters, will be coming online soon. Cherokee Studios

Cherokee Studios was founded by Bruce Robb in 1972 and is steeped in a rich history of many iconic artists from Tom Petty to David Bowie to Mötley Crüe and Michael Jackson. The beautiful and highly photogenic new studio is vintage with a touch of class and sophistication that makes it feel like you are hanging in your rich Uncle’s living room. It has been meticulously rebuilt from the original Cherokee on Fairfax Avenue (same equipment, new location) adjacent to Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
